Mobile Pet Microchipping

Since April 2016 (and from 10 June 2024 for cats), it is the breeder's responsibility to microchip all puppies before they leave for their new homes. Failure to comply may result in a fine of up to £500 for selling a puppy that is not microchipped. Mobile microchipping is a service where the trained implanter can chip puppies or kittens in your own home:
★ Convenience and Comfort: Having a mobile microchipper come to your home eliminates transporting young animals to a vet practice. This can reduce stress and difficulty for large litters, as puppies and kittens remain in a familiar and comfortable environment.

★ Reduced Risk of Exposure to Illnesses: Visiting a veterinary practice often exposes young animals to various pathogens and illnesses. Using a mobile microchipper reduces the risk of exposure to contagious diseases, providing a sense of security, which is particularly important for puppies and kittens whose immune systems are still developing.

This can save time and reduce the need for multiple trips to a vet practice, providing a sense of relief, especially if there are several animals to be chipped.

  • Animals can typically be microchipped starting at 6 weeks old.
  • Please book your appointment at least 2 weeks in advance, ideally when they are 4 weeks old.

Mirochip Size
We offer a convenient, stress-free solution by microchipping in the comfort of your home. I primarily use the smallest available microchips, the nano size (7mm - smaller than a grain of rice), suitable for pets as young as six weeks.

As a breeder, you will be provided with an online account to transfer ownership without requiring the new owner's details at the time of chipping. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive breeder summary sheet and individual cards to include in new owner puppy packs, ensuring a smooth and professional transition for each pet.
